Hi, My name is Peter Gorman.

In 2002, my wife Marie Clare and I formed Living Images as a photography business specialising in delivering photography training courses. My own background in brief is that I trained and qualified as an electronics design engineer. After spending approximately 20 years in the design industry working largely in the area of digital imaging (camera image processing, motion video compression, etc.), I decided to marry my lifelong photography passion (first camera aged 6, first time in darkroom aged 11) with my technical imaging expertise and started Living Images in 2002. Since then we have delivered hundreds of training courses to the general public and to corporate bodies. Our most popular courses are in general SLR photography and studio portrait photography but we also run courses in photo editing, wedding photography and block mounting.

My personal favourite aspect of photography is casual or candid portraits … mainly of my own children. I confess that as practised by me, there is no huge art to this – I just stick on a very wide aperture lens, move close and press the button. Here’s a few examples.
